The Ministry of Defence of India and U.S. Division of Protection concluded a Challenge Settlement (PA) for Air-Launched Unmanned Aerial Car (ALUAV) underneath the Joint Working Group Air Methods within the Defence Know-how and Commerce Initiative (DTTI), on Friday, July 30, 2021. The Air-Launched UAV PA falls underneath the Analysis, Growth, Testing, and Analysis (RDT&E) Memorandum of Settlement between the Indian Ministry of Defence and the U.S. Division of Protection that was first signed in January 2006, and renewed in January 2015. The settlement is a major step in direction of deepening the protection expertise collaboration between the 2 nations, via co-development of defence gear.

The principle purpose of the DTTI is to carry sustained management focus to advertise collaborative expertise alternate, and create alternatives for co-production and co-development of future applied sciences for Indian and U.S. navy forces. Below the DTTI, Joint Working Teams on land, naval, air, and plane provider applied sciences have been established to deal with mutually agreed initiatives in respective domains.
